Team GLOCK’s Tori Nonaka Claims Top Junior Finish at IDPA Indoor Nationals

SMYRNA, Ga. (Feb. 28, 2012) –Team GLOCK maintained its winning 2012 season as Tori Nonaka took the title of High Junior at the IDPA Indoor Nationals held Feb. 23-25, in Springfield, MA. Fellow Team GLOCK teammate Randi Rogers took the title of High Lady Champion.

The IDPA Indoor Nationals is a unique event that challenges shooters with situations in low or no-light, often requiring the use of a handheld flashlight. IDPA events require competitors to use practical handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for self-defense. The main goal of IDPA matches is to test the ability of an individual in “real world” self-defense scenarios, therefore “competition only” pistols are prohibited during the match.

Nonaka took the High Junior title using the G34 Gen3. “I was extremely excited to have won High Junior!” stated Nonaka. “After the world shoot last season, I made the decision to incorporate additional one-handed shooting as part of my training regimen. The increased training has definitely improved my performance.”

Tori Nonaka will compete next at the IDPA Florida State Championship held March 10th-11th. Randi Rogers will compete next in the US Steel Nationals March 28th– April 1st in Titusville, FL.
