Smith & Wesson Names Lou Denys Match Director For 2013 IDPA Indoor Nationals

BERRYVILLE, Ark. – Lou Denys has been named Match Director of the prestigious 2013 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship according to an announcement made today by officials with the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) and Smith & Wesson.

Now in its 16th consecutive year, the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship has grown to become one of the premier events in all the shooting sports, making the position of match director one of the most important in competitive pistol shooting.

“I’m honored that IDPA and Smith & Wesson have asked me to oversee what is arguably IDPA’s crown jewel event. This match has a rich and well-deserved reputation for excellence and I am looking forward to working with a great team of safety officers and staff to insure the 2013 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship is the best yet,” said Lou Denys.

The 2013 match will take place February 21-23 and is expected to draw over 300 of the best IDPA shooters to Springfield, Massachusetts to compete on the indoor ranges of the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center.

“Each year the Smith & Wesson Indoor Nationals has set the tone for the IDPA competition season with unique, creative and challenging stages that are the hallmark of the Smith & Wesson match. Like all IDPA members I am excited to see what Lou has in store for us this year and know it will be a course of fire that’s second to none,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director for IDPA.
