Road To The Nationals: Women of USPSA Poll…No School Like The Old School

There’s “no school like the old school” so here’s a look at the Women of USPSA‘s poll results for the Senior and Super Senior catgories at this year’s Smith & Wesson National Handgun Championships.

Don Bednorz is the clear favorite to win the Senior Open title with more than 40% of vote.

With more than 60% of those responding picking him to win, Ralph Arredondo is widely viewed as the one to bet on in the Super Senior Open division match.

Kert Gaskill is polling at over 50% in the Senior Limited-10 question on the survey. Kert’s had a strong year and that’s reflected in the support he’s getting from other shooters voting in the poll.

Paul Clark Sr. pulled more than 50% of those responding to the Super Senior Limited-10 survey question, closely followed by William Cochran with more than 40%.

In the Senior Limited event Kert Gaskill is again topping the list of shooters expected to win. He’s followed by Steve Miguez and Don Bednorz who are tied at around 18%.

While he’s running second in the Limited-10 portion of the survey, William Cochran is outpacing Lee Rowe in the Super Senior Limited poll.

In the Senior Production event John France leads the polling followed by Tom Chambers and Tony Hyatt second and third respectively.

Elliot Aysen of Team Smith & Wesson, with just over 60% of the vote, is favored shooter in the Senior Revolver contest. Look for Elliot to place in the top ten overall – he finished 8th in 2009. Of course, since Jerry Miculek also falls in the “senior” category it’s likely that he’ll top the list but Elliot can claim “first senior mortal”.

Richard Timberlake has just over 50% of those polled counting on him to win the Super Senior Revolver title.
