Louisiana’s Bailey Named 2nd Winner in ICORE’s Smith & Wesson Regional Series Giveaway

ICORE logoLOS OSOS, Calif. – Continuing its week long series announcing winners of its 2011 ICORE Regional Series promotion, the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts (ICORE) today announced that Kerry Bailey of Gretna, La., has won a Smith & Wesson firearm.

Bailey, who is the second of five winners to be named in the promotion, won his choice of either a a Smith & Wesson Model 686 or Model 617 revolver.

“I’ve always wanted to get a 617 ever since the first time I shot one, but I never got around to getting once. Now, thanks to Smith & Wesson’s support of the regionals, that’s about to change,” said Bailey.

As part of the 2011 ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson, the Springfield, Ma. based company donated five firearms to be given away through a random drawing open to all the competitors that participated in the series. Bailey competed in the Southern Regional, finishing 4th in the Limited division and 8th overall winning B class, for the first time.

“Wheelgun really is my first love and I love shooting ICORE matches,” added Bailey who will be returning to compete in next year’s Southern Regional.

“I plan to add more ICORE matches to my shooting schedule, including next year’s Central States Regional, Wheelgunners Revenge, in Michigan, and with any luck I’ll make it out to California for the 2013 International Revolver Championship too.”

The 2011 ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson consisted of seven events, including the 6th Annual Smith & Wesson Southern Regional Revolver Championship hosted by the Revolver Association of Mississippi in October at Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club in Florence, Miss.

ICORE will announce the remaining three winners of the special Smith & Wesson regional promotion each day this week and the winners’ names will be posted on ICORE’s Facebook page.
