The first day of the NRA is gone and I will say it was not slow. Michael and Marshal and I ..along with the film crew was on the move all day long. We went to the bloggers party tonight and had a great time with everyone. M25 operator .. one of our own Down Range members..joined us for beers and burgers. So it has been a good long day. Took about a 1/2 hr break for lunch and was back at it. We are now back in the room and never has a bed and shower looked so good. But. guess what? We don’t have any hot water.. Can you frickin’ believe it? Staying at the Hyatt..and no hot water.. This will make 2 times the plumber has had to come up here and fix the water .. But the good news is he got here… fixed it.. Marshal took his shower and he is right now as I am speaking…snoring … *He pulled and worked a straight all nighter Tuesday night..slept one & 1/2 hrs on the plane, Wednesday.. then last night he quit working at 4 a.m..came to bed for 2 hrs.. got up and went like a bullet all day today. So I guess he deserves to snore like a hibernating grizzly bear. *smile*
There is so much to see at this years show. There is the normal standard stuff.. but there is a different kind of buzz in the air this year. Seems to be more women handling guns and everywhere you stop, the talk of ammo.. ( or the lack of it ) is somewhere in the converstion.
I was going to try to post and blog about 3 times a day ..but I have to apologize. There just isn’t any time for me to break away and get to the computer until evening. But I will continue to share things with you as much as I can.
The video crew is doing a GREAT job getting the videos up and running immediately, so you all can see first hand (almost live) what is happening. Those guys don’t get to enjoy much of the show..they are in a room editing the footage that we are doing on the floor. So I give them a big thank you.
Okay… I stopped at the booth of Miniature Firearms made by David Kucer.
This delightful gentleman started his apprenticeship in his fathers shop in pre-war Poland and is among only a handful of premier miniature arms makers from around the world. These miniatures are fully functional… and are so finely detailed that it seems amazing that they aren’t just magically “shrunk” from a standard size firearm. The detail workmanship is shown on his website..but here are a few pictures I took.
