Wilson Combat’s Glenn Shelby 3-Peats As IDPA’s CDP National Champ

IDPA-Glenn-1TULSA, Okla. – For the third year in a row, Wilson Combat’s Glenn Shelby took the Custom Defensive Pistol division national title at the International Defensive Pistol Association’s (IDPA) U.S. National Championship.

Shelby, who is one of the few Distinguished Masters in IDPA, captured the title for the third year in a row after taking six of 17 stage wins and posting a final time of 244.59 seconds, the fourth fastest overall time in the match, all while shooting just 30 points down.

“With three straight national championship wins, it’s pretty safe to say that when it comes to CDP, this is Glenn’s playground,” said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.

Second place in CDP went to Matt Sims who finished first Master with 269.21 and 57 points down. Greg Martin, a Distinguished Master like Shelby, finished third in the division with 272.95 and 46 points down. Chris Chamberlin, the second Master, took fourth in the division with 275.45 (51), while Zeb Pomerenke, the third Master, rounded out the top five with 286.47 (56).
