Michael Bane takes the new USFA Double Eagle in .44 Special to the shooting range. It is also a good carry gun for those who prefer to carry a single action revolver. This model is a modified Colt 1873 SAA clone with a Birdshead grip and sporting a low profile Bisley hammer. The model is available in 3 ½”, 4″ or 4 ¾” barrel lengths. In addition to the .44 Special, it can also be delivered in 45 Colt and 44 WCF (44-40).

Very throrough evaluation. Beautiful firearm. I agree with the beauty of the hammer and the grip combination. I will order one in the future, but with the
4.75 length barrel.
Thanks for posting the video
Very nice review. Thank you. I have a DE on order and enjoyed being teased by looking at yours while I wait.
One very small rub. I am interested in the Mernickle holster, but would still love to see one. It was a little difficult to get a good look at it here as either the camera man had it just out of the frame, or you had one of those big ham hocks covering it!
.. Give us another look! How about a review just for the holster?
Thanks again!

A very nice Gun. I have one US Firearms Revolver and I´am loking for a second Revolver for Cowboy Action Shooting. Thats the correct Revolver from me but with a 4,75 Barrel too. I like the high Quality from US Firearms Products.

When I saw the photo of the new usfde I had to have one. 3″ was the only model in sock, sooo-when it arrived it was a show stopper and fit my grip just as I thought it would and shoots like a dream.
I planned on putting this strait into inventory, but ya gotta have a demo, right? And did I mention it shoots excellent!! Very accurate right outta da box? Would make a nice cross draw rig for concealed activities. These are exact copies-to the extent of the one piece hammer/firing Penaz transfer bar on these babies, but a very effective safety notch just before the hammer hits the primer.
Now I need a x model, then a y, and z…(For inventory, of course)…so many choices, and so little time. Did I mention that these shoot great and……
