LOS OSOS, Calif. – Team Smith & Wesson’s husband and wife duo of Annette and Elliot Aysen of Thibodaux, La. won the Limited division and High Overall titles at the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts’ (ICORE) 6th Annual Smith & Wesson Southern Regional Revolver Championship hosted by the Revolver Association of Mississippi on October 7-9 at Magnolia Rifle & Pistol Club in Florence, Miss.

Aysen, who won five of the ten stages, finished in a final time of 218.85 seconds, outpacing his nearest competition by 16.05 seconds. He also took High Limited Senior honors in the match.

Meanwhile, Annette Aysen, who placed fifth in the Limited division and ninth overall, won the Women’s Limited title with a time of 272.05 seconds which also gave her the Women’s High Overall title.

“There’s one thing for sure, when you see Annette and Elliot Aysen at a revolver competition you can pretty much guarantee you are looking at two shooters who are likely to finish in the top five, that is when they’re not winning the match outright,” said Ron Joslin of ICORE.

Second place in the Limited division went to Jess Christensen of Berryville, Ark. with three stage wins and a final time of 234.90 seconds. Cliff Cargill, who claimed two stage wins, ended the match in third in a time of 241.73 seconds while Kerry Bailey took fourth with a time of 270.11.

The Smith & Wesson Southern Regional Revolver Championship was the fifth of seven events in the 2011 ICORE Regional Series presented by Smith & Wesson.
