Support your favorite gun in the NRA’s Firearms Face Off

Vote for your favorite guns as the top eight count down to #1

Fairfax, Virginia – Like a wise man once said, the firearm is like a vehicle — there’s always a right one for the job.

But when put to the test, when it’s one or the other, which one will you choose. That’s just the question they’re asking on the National Rifle Association’s main Facebook page.

Now you’ll probably be able to figure out which firearm is going up against which, but just in case — here’s the rundown:

The Colt Commander, the Springfield XD-S, the Beretta 92FS, Ruger’s GP100, a Smith & Wesson Model 29, the Sig Sauer P224, a Glock 17 and the Colt Python. Unfortunately, for you Springfield XD-S fans, your favorite firearm has already been knocked out of the race.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play. Here’s how it works.

Much like the NCAA Basketball tournament, the guns are placed in a playoff bracket. Every two or three days, Facebook Fans have the opportunity to vote on one particular match up. Today, for example, you get to choose between the Beretta and the Ruger. Next it will be Dirty Harry’s Smith & Wesson vs. the Sig P224 followed by the Glock 17 vs. the Colt Python.

Winners advance to the next round until ultimately battling it out in the finals.

So go join in the fun. Check out the competition, make your choice and help elect the NRA’s Fan Favorite Firearm.
