On Shooting Gallery: Shootout Lane

“Every season SHOOTING GALLERY breaks new ground and takes you on unique adventures — think the “Pattern Room” in England or into the wilds of Africa or the first IDPA Back-Up Gun Nationals this season. For our closing episode for 2014, we wanted to take you to the coolest place on earth for we members of the gun culture — SHOOTOUT LANE.

That’s the home of America’s First Family of shooting, the Clarks and the Miculeks. Jerry Miculek, Kay Clark Miculek, Lena Miculek, Jim Clark Jr. and his family don’t need any introduction, because they are part of the DNA of shooting. You’ve seen them on SHOOTING GALLERY, 3-GUN NATION, IMPOSSIBLE SHOTS, SHOOTING USA and shooting shows on every television network. But you’ve never seen them like this.

Join us for a walk down Shootout Lane in Princeton, Louisiana, where the greatest shooters in America live, work, play and, and, as Jerry Miculek is fond of saying, “make some noise.” Prepare to be…charmed…”

In years past, the Louisiana State IDPA Championship was hosted at the Shootout Range. Jerry was there, and won his Division, as usual. But what really impressed me was his open friendship and attitude with all the competitors. I remember he won a door prize at the post event drawing, and then asked, “Who was the top Junior?”. He then gave the prize to that young person.
The family are not only great shooters, they are great people.
