On Best Defense Survival – Transportation/Bug Out

Share This:

The worst time to practice what you are going to do if you have to leave your home in an emergency is when the event is actually happening.

In this episode, we’ll take you through the things you need to prepare in advance, as well as how to practice loading it to be sure you and your family get to safety in time.

First aired: Wednesday 08/04/10 at 3:00PM and 7:30PM, Thursday 08/05/10 at 1:00AM (All times Eastern).

Do a few camping / hiking trips with your “B.O.B” once you’ve packed it. Odds are you’ll change near everything you thought you’d need. 😉

    “Load a shopping cart”… ROFLMAO!!!

Fill it with toys, and travel the country (PUSHING THE BUGGY THROUGH THE WOODS NO LESS) with a kid that never stops saying. “I’m hungry papa. Are we going to starve papa?”.

May have been the worst book ever written.

Is there a way to watch past episodes of Best Defense Survival? I missed the “Bug Out” episode.

He used a Diamondback 3-day or SOF assult back pack. 5.11 makes a Rush 72 that is just as good. The 5.11 is a little bigger.

Guys, your making this too hard. It is like he said in the video,, doesnt matter what you use, just make sure you know where it is and how to use it. the specific brand of knife is irrelevant. Any good fixed blade knife will do in that category. the brand of bag makes no differance either. Doesnt matter if it is a millitary surplus alice pack or a high dollar ‘new’ store bought backpack, just as long as it will hold all of the items you are needing to take with you. He is just giving a very good outline of items, your situation may dictate a differant set of items, either more or less of a certain item. but the specifics dont really matter just as long as you can get the items in it.

At the end of Bug Out they show a solar charger. What brand is it and where can I get one?

Any chance this program will be expanded to a 1 hour format anytime soon? A half hour just isn’t enough time to cover even one topic in depth and do it justice.
