On Best Defense Survival: Micro-Preparedness Part 2

Share This:

In the previous 2 seasons, we have given you a vast range of worst case scenarios. Season 3 goes into a few of these scenarios in more detail.

In episode 2 of season 3, we’re going back to Gunsite to talk about the right stands when shooting the long gun. Michael Janich shows you how to purify water using only the sun. We are also covering more on field dentistry and Rob Pincus talks about defensive shotguns and the use of a rifled barrel with a designated scope.

First aired on 07-06-11.

You hear all this talk about be prepared and getting ready which is a fantastic idea, putting up supplys, ammo, medical supplys all in which i do and think everyone should do. Yet I know several people doing the same thing but are out of shape so bad that God forbid anything happens all the supplys in the world wont do a bit of good if they half to leave there house. I guess the point i am tring to make is that people should really concentrate on taking care of them self’s a little bit better. I also think that shows should take the time to point this stuff out because all the preparedness in the world is not going to help you if you can’t walk from the living room to the kitchen without stopping to take a breath. I see this so much and i worry for these people.

A significant number of people are necessarily preparing to shelter-in-place. The notion of running off to “the hills” is not applicable to most, and if you’ve been up to “the hills” in many places you will find it already full of people, that the hills’ weak infrastructure is already over-stressed, and that your additional “flatlander” presence will not be welcome…and they have guns too. Lots of ’em.
