Interesting concepts but highly self serving. Mr. Janich teaches unarmed self defense through videos and personal courses. His course material seems simple and easily applied. However as a retired combat Marine and 22 year martial artist that grew up in the South Bronx, I can tell you it requires years of practice to be anywhere near to being effective in a real fight. Drawing your gun is NOT necesarily the correct first response. But you might just have one chance to do so and save your life or that of loved ones. To engage someone in a physical confrontation and assume you gain the upper hand, so you can THEN access the situation and decide if this is a gun situation, is naive at best. I say unless you are a MMA or experienced street fighter; go for your gun and deal with the court system later.
