{"id":9897,"date":"2011-06-07T06:02:34","date_gmt":"2011-06-07T11:02:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.downrange.tv\/blog\/?p=9897"},"modified":"2011-06-07T06:02:34","modified_gmt":"2011-06-07T11:02:34","slug":"miculek-wins-again-at-smith-wesson-revolver-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.downrange.tv\/blog\/miculek-wins-again-at-smith-wesson-revolver-championship\/9897\/","title":{"rendered":"Miculek Wins Again At Smith &#038; Wesson Revolver Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS OSOS, Calif. &#8211; Jerry Miculek, the Team Smith &amp; Wesson shooter  from Princeton, La. continued his unbeaten streak at the Smith &amp;  Wesson International Revolver Championship by winning his 19th title  with a final time of 222.03 seconds, just 4.76 seconds ahead of his  nearest competitor.<\/p>\n<p>Miculek won half of the 14 stages and held the lead for most of the  match, giving up front-runner status on the sixth stage to Rich Wolfe of  Escalon, Calif., and then on the seventh to Smith &amp; Wesson teammate  David Olhasso of Holland, Pa. before reclaiming the lead on the eighth  stage.<\/p>\n<p>Despite a late charge by Wolfe, Miculek held his lead through the remainder of the match to take the title.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jerry Miculek has once again claimed the IRC as his match, and with 19  wins in 19 appearances who&#8217;s going to argue with him. No other shooter  so thoroughly dominates a shooting discipline like Jerry does in  revolver competition,&#8221; said Ron Joslin of ICORE.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the top five were Wolfe in second with four stage wins and a  time of 226.79, Olhasso in third with one stage win and 236.33 seconds,  Gene Morin of Sutherlin, Ore. in fourth with 247.79 and Australian  shooter Paul Kennedy of Mooroolbark, Victoria with 250.47.<\/p>\n<p>Organized by the International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts  (ICORE), and held at Hogue Action Pistol Range at the San Luis Obispo  Sportsmen&#8217;s Association, the 20th Annual Smith &amp; Wesson  International Revolver Championship drew more than 230 top revolver  shooters, representing 26 states and three foreign nations.
