Randi won the Production title last year and has opted to run in Limited this year where she’ll be facing Glock teammate Tori Nonaka and the defending Area 6 champ Lisa Munson, shooting for Cameron’s Custom Guns. It’s hard to say how this will end up. Rogers is, in any division in any shooting sport, formidable so to overtake her means shooting fast and clean. Both Nonaka and certainly Munson have the skill to challenge Rogers. Nonoka’s age – she’s just 16 – put her at a slight experience disadvantage when compared to Rogers and Munson who have won countless titles. Regardless, look for both to be in the top five for sure and we’ll all have to wait to see if either can bump Rogers to second place.

OPEN – Ladies
Cathy Whidden (B)
Eva Micklethwaite (A)
Kay Miculek (M)
Sue VanBlaricum (B)
Tammie Bordwell (B)
Kaci Cochran (A)
Jessie Abbate (A)
Athena Lee (M)
Megan Francisco (M)

This is the powerhouse match for the women at Area 6. Kay Miculek of Team S&W, Athena Lee and Megan Francisco (both Team Limcat) are all previous Open division National Champions. Team Leaupold’s Jessie Abbate has won the national title (repeatedly) in Limited and Production and has won in Limited-10 as well. She’s also the Area 6 defending champ. Add to that mix Team Limcat’s Kaci Cochran who won at the Florida Open this year and you got yourself a serious race. The remaining women in the match, Cathy Whidden, Eva Micklethwaite of Cameron’s Custom Guns, Sue VanBlaricum and Tammie Bordwell have all posted strong finishes in 2010 and could easily work their way into the top five. That’s not to say that outgunning Miculek, Lee, Francisco, Abbate or Cochran is ever what you’d call ‘easy’.

PRODUCTION – Ladies
08) Nancy Huspek (B) 744.2113 (75.19%)
24) Amber Ohlson (U) 362.5153 (36.63%)
25) Donna Dietz (U) 293.0187 (29.61%)

Angela M Cortes (C)
Karyn Byerly (C)
Elena Bykova (U)
Yolanda Castillo (U)
Ann Kaewplang (B)

Nancy Huspek has the lead and is in a great postion to end the match with the title, though she still has five shootersthat have yet to shoot the match.

REVOLVER
01) Bryan Murphy (B) 1095.0000 (100.00%)

Luke Fay (B)
Cheryl Fordyce (C)
Lena Miculek (U)

The Revolver division thisyear only has four shooters so we’ve listed the two men as well. Cheryl Fordyce and Lena Miculek have yet to shoot the match so we’ll haev to wait for today’s or Sunday’s scores to see where they’ll finish.

SINGLE STACK – Ladies
09) Elizabeth Keen-Peeler (D) 265.2223 (26.02%)

Carmen Rasmussen (D)

The Single Stack division has 37 registered competitors but jsut two women competing with Elizabeth Keen-Peeler the first to shoot the match.
