Last night I finished the 196th<\/sup> episode of The Urban Shooter Podcast<\/a>.\u00a0 I shared some of my normal silliness with some facts about what was going on in 1968.\u00a0 The show is entitled, the Gun Control Act of 1968.\u00a0 Only here will you hear about guns, G*d and Rev. Dr Martin Luther King on one show.\u00a0 I got it under an hour to save on my listeners media player space for those that don\u2019t stream from the application<\/a> now available for Android in addition to Apple.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a phenomenal year for the pastor of pistoleros, patriots and paladins.\u00a0 This year I had over 400,000 downloads of the show and spoke directly to thousands from under the washer and dryer of the Blanchard home.\u00a0 Not bad for a guy like me.<\/p>\n

I have the most diverse and fun pro-gun podcast out there I think.\u00a0 I managed to get the occasional but always solid observation and input from Women\u2019s Outdoor Network editor Barbara Baird.\u00a0 She does it all, fishing, hunting, shooting, archery, mother and wife.\u00a0 I have had a steady contribution of a serial story from Derek Ward, the author of Zombie Strike<\/a>.\u00a0 He writes something fresh and original every week and I read it Old Time Radio style.\u00a0 It\u2019s unique and loved by some, tolerated by the rest.\u00a0 Zombies are hot, whether folks know it or not.\u00a0 I have friends in the industry that occasionally share something cool with me.\u00a0 Folks love when my Rabbi and I talk about life, guns and religion together.\u00a0 I have a big group of listeners from LSU and colleges across the south.\u00a0 We have the family members serving overseas, that need a chuckle every now and then and I share the smiles freely always giving loving to my fellow Marines.<\/p>\n

I went to Hollywood this year for my first media red carpet event to support the City of Hope Bone Marrow donor program and learned a lot from the experience.\u00a0 And I also attended the SHOT show in 2010, met Michael Bane and the Downrange.TV crew and became a part of his blog.\u00a0 Michael Bane or THE DUDE, as I call him, is an eclectic cat that is breaking new ground with the old heads every day.\u00a0 It\u2019s been a good year.\u00a0 Can\u2019t make it to SHOT this year or I would be trying to be his zesty sidekick but maybe next year.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m now in the IMDB<\/a> database and even worked on a pilot for a reality show this month.\u00a0 What a life.\u00a0 I know I\u2019m different, but it feels good to be me.<\/p>\n
