\"\"<\/a>WoUSPSA: <\/strong>Tammie, congratulations on your Top 5 finish at the Smith & Wesson USPSA Limited National Championships! What \u00a0did you think of the stages at this year\u2019s Nationals, and did you have a favorite?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>I \u00a0really liked the stages this year. \u00a0I think the staff really stepped up their \u00a0game. Yes, my favorite was\u00a0stage 5. \u00a0Two reasons: the RO\u2019s were so FUN<\/strong> and that stage felt so good to shoot, it just flowed so \u00a0well.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>What \u00a0do you think of the range\/match location?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Great \u00a0weather, great views, what else could you ask for?<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>Very true!\u00a0 And do you like the back-to-back format?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Tammie: <\/strong>It is the only format I have ever shot, so I can\u2019t compare. Back-to-back keeps the cost down<\/strong> and is a good way to get to shoot both.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong> It\u2019s always helpful to minimize the expenses! <\/strong>How would you describe your performances in both matches?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Overall \u00a0I am satisfied with both. \u00a0But if I could do the 1st day over on each, I would. 1st day of \u00a0Open I was wound up<\/strong> and maybe pushed too hard, 1st day of Limited, I REALLY missed my dot.<\/strong><\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>It has to be tough making that transition!\u00a0 How early did you start training for the Nationals, and how much range time did \u00a0you put in compared to dry firing?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Tammie: <\/strong>Two \u00a0weeks. We were at the range five times during \u00a0those two weeks and dry fired the other \u00a0days with local matches on the weekends. Our state match was the \u00a03rd weekend of September. \u00a0My husband (Cliff) and I helped with building stages, so that took some of our time.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>Thanks for volunteering at your state match!\u00a0 So, Limited \u00a0is not your main division but you and your husband shot each other\u2019s divisions \u00a0this year.\u00a0 What was your mindset going into Limited match.\u00a0 Did you shoot your husbands Limited Gun?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>I have my own Limited gun, I have just been focused on Open for the last 1 \u00bd \u00a0years.\u00a0 My mindset was front sight!!!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>You also won stage 16, \u201cJust Passing Through II\u201d \u2013 congratulations! \u00a0Tell us about your approach on this stage.<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>I \u00a0just shot my plan, no mistakes. \u00a0Funny how that works?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>WoUSPSA: <\/strong>Ah, it\u2019s so simple isn\u2019t it? \u00a0: ) \u00a0To \u00a0stay energized, what is your snack and beverage of choice at a match?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Water \u00a0or sugar free kool-aid mixed with a little lemon-aid and some sort of cookie.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>You and Rob Leatham with the cookies!\u00a0 : ) \u00a0Did \u00a0you learn anything about yourself as a competitor?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Just do what you know how to do.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA:<\/strong> That\u2019s good advice for all. <\/strong>As \u00a0a Top 8 contender, do you feel you should always have the choice to shoot with \u00a0whomever you like? \u00a0What are the pros and cons of shooting with another \u00a0squad vs. the Ladies?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Tammie: <\/strong>I haven\u2019t had the chance to shoot with the Ladies. I guess there is a comfort level shooting with the people you always shoot with. But I see the reasons for putting the Ladies together\u2026press \u00a0and conditions. \u00a0I watched you all \u00a0shoot and it looks like you really \u00a0support one another and have a lot of fun together.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>We do, thanks!\u00a0 Was this your last major match of the year or do you still have more competitions on your schedule?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>No,\u00a0we have the Monster Match<\/strong> this weekend and then the South Florida Sectional 2 \u00a0weeks after that. \u00a0There is a new \u201cSteel Field Course\u201d<\/strong> match at Frank Garcia\u2019s place in December and then we \u00a0start over again with the Florida Open<\/strong> in February.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>Wow \u2026 busy schedule! \u00a0So you still have a lot of shooting planned.<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Living \u00a0in Florida we really don\u2019t stop shooting\u2026<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>That certainly will make a lot of people jealous!\u00a0 What \u00a0are your long-term competitive shooting goals?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Top 8 in Open.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>WoUSPSA: <\/strong>We hope to see you there soon! \u00a0If \u00a0you weren\u2019t a competitive shooter, what do you think you would be doing?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Maybe \u00a0a rock star or a ballerina\u2026haha \u00a0\u00a0Who knows?<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>We like that!\u00a0 When you aren\u2019t on the road or at the range, what\u2019s one of your favorite activities \u00a0to do when at home?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>TV, \u00a0I love TV.<\/p>\n

WoUSPSA: <\/strong>Before we let you go, what \u00a0advice would you give to any new shooters starting out?<\/p>\n

Tammie: <\/strong>Just do it! \u00a0Great sport, great \u00a0people.<\/p>\n
