It’s way over due… but finally, you’re going to get a chance to meet a top role model and in my opinion, a prime example of the kind of person you will meet in Cowboy Action Shooting. Long Hunter is a world champion shooter with both feet planted firmly on the ground. He’s a top shooter, an expert gunsmith and teaches classes in Cowboy Action Shooting. From his base camp in the Texas Panhandle, he’s also one of the top dealers of USFA single action revolvers, Ruger Vaqueros and lever action rifles from Cimarron and Taylor.<\/p>\n

I’ve had the privilege of getting to spend time with Long Hunter on several occasions and without a doubt, he deserves to be on my list of the top ambassadors of the sport and of SASS.<\/p>\n

In this episode of Cowboys, Long Hunter explains how he takes “out of the box guns” and prepares and gets them ready for competition. He’ll give you a few hints on shooting techniques and you’ll get to have a front row seat on a shootout between himself and the host, Tupelo Flash.<\/p>\n

In addition we will learn about NRA Museum’s Phil Schreier’s favorite gun.<\/p>\n
