Outdoor Channel<\/a>‘s spring schedule is packed with gripping adventure entertainment that provides an in-depth look into the people and stories on the cutting edge of the outdoors. The network\u2019s second quarter (Q2) Wednesday night lineup in the Shooting Sport \/ Personal Defense category is comprised of 8 shows, including two all-new series; GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey and <\/em>Shootout Lane<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"QaboutGunFreeZones\"<\/a>Safe Haven: Gun-Free Zones in America<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, (Wednesday April 1 and 8 at 4:30 p.m. ET) is Outdoor Channel\u2019s first original documentary. Hosted by Townhall news editor, FOX News contributor and New York Times best-selling author Katie Pavlich<\/strong>, the hour-long film takes a critical look at the history of gun-free zones in the U.S. and their effect on crime prevention through a series of interviews with law enforcement, industry experts and survivors, among others. This documentary will also be published and available online.<\/p>\n

\"GunnyTime\"New to the network is GunnyTime with R. Lee Ermey<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET, beginning April 15), featuring retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. R. Lee \u201cGunny\u201d Ermey<\/strong>, a talented character actor best known for his award-winning role in Full Metal Jacket<\/em>. The immersive host-driven television series focuses on weapons and weapons technology past, present and future.<\/p>\n

\"ShootOutLane1-1\"<\/a>Also joining the roster of shooting shows is Shootout Lane<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET), which follows an atypical southern family of world-champion competitive shooters and custom gun manufacturers from Louisiana. Watch as the Miculek family<\/strong> take on each other and the world, and see what happens when challenges mount and generations collide.<\/p>\n

The network will once again highlight its popular talent seven-days-a-week throughout the quarter at 11:30 p.m. ET. This \u201cstrip\u201d of programming will begin with back-to-back weeks of special \u201cbest-of\u201d episodes. From May 18-31, check out episodes of The Best Defense<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, featuring Michael Bane<\/strong>,Mike Seeklander<\/strong> and Michael Janich<\/strong>.
