\"GoldenMooseAward\"TEMECULA, Calif.<\/strong> \u2013 January 10, 2014 \u2013 Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader In Outdoor TV, today revealed the list of nominees, including the Top Five Fan Favorites, that have been nominated for the 14th Annual Golden Moose Awards<\/strong>. The country\u2019s leading outdoor television awards ceremony takes place on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at The Venetian in Las Vegas during the National Shooting Sports Foundation\u2019s annual Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) and Conference<\/a>. The Golden Moose Awards serves as the signature event to honor the hard work put forth by Outdoor Channel\u2019s talent and production teams for their entertainment contributions in 2013.<\/p>\n

The Golden Moose Awards will be hosted by Michael Waddell<\/strong><\/a> of Outdoor Channel\u2019s \u201cRealtree Road Trips<\/a>\u201d and \u201cBone Collector<\/a>.\u201d The ceremony will include musical performances by Ted Nugent<\/strong> of Outdoor Channel\u2019s \u201cTed Nugent Spirit of the Wild<\/a>\u201d and Aaron Lewis<\/strong>, along with country music artists Craig Morgan<\/strong><\/a> of the network\u2019s \u201cCraig Morgan All Access Outdoors<\/a>\u201d and Colton James<\/strong>. Nugent is expected to play \u201cThe Star-Spangled Banner,\u201d the national anthem of the United States. Lewis will hit the stage for his second consecutive Golden Moose Awards with tunes from his recent projects. Morgan, who received a Humanitarian Award<\/a> last year for his tireless work with Folds of Honor Foundation through a partnership with Bushnell and NRA Country, will treat audiences to a song from his new album, The Journey (Livin\u2019 Hits). And James, a newcomer propelled by \u201cBrave Men,\u201d his powerful tribute to American troops, will delight attendees with his latest single.<\/p>\n

Among the Golden Moose Awards presenters are Joe Mantegna<\/strong> of \u201cMidwayUSA\u2019s Gun Stories<\/a>\u201d; Willie Robertson <\/strong>of \u201cBuck Commander<\/a>\u201d; Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Jon Lester<\/strong>; former NBA player Jared Jeffries<\/strong> of \u201cModern Fishing with Jared Jeffries<\/a>\u201d; NASCAR racing crew chief Greg Zipadelli<\/strong> of \u201cGreg Zipadelli’s Drop Zone<\/a>\u201d; RAM Trucks\u2019 Brian Szalk<\/strong>; and Theresa Vail<\/strong>, a Sergeant in the Kansas Army National Guard, a 2013 Miss Kansas winner, a 2014 Miss America top ten finalist and an avid bowhunter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt brings us great pleasure to host an all-star lineup at our annual awards gathering, including our emcee for the evening, Michael Waddell; musical acts Ted Nugent, Aaron Lewis, Craig Morgan and Colton James; and celebrity presenters, Joe Mantegna, Willie Robertson, Theresa Vail and Jackie Bushman, to name a few. In addition to the 20+ awards that will be presented at this year\u2019s event, including Best Overall Production, Best Hunting and Best Comedy, Outdoor Channel will also hand out an honorary Lifetime Achievement Award to a surprise recipient for their outstanding contributions to the outdoor industry.<\/p>\n

The highly sought-after Fan Favorite awards<\/strong> will also be presented on the evening of the 16th. Finalists and the ultimate winners were chosen by more than 30,000 loyal viewers of the network over the past several weeks on Outdoor Channel\u2019s voting page in the five following categories: Best Overall Series, New Series in 2013, Hunting Series, Fishing Series and Host(s).<\/p>\n
