\nSturm, Ruger Company, Inc (NYSE:RGR) announces the release of the Ruger American Rimfire\u2122 bolt-\u00adaction rifle. The 100% American\u2010made Ruger American Rimfire\u2122 builds on the enormous success of the centerfire Ruger American Rifle\u00ae. With many of the standard Ruger American Rifle\u00ae features, this new line also combines several design innovations from the popular 10\/22\u00ae rimfire rifle. This combination, along with the rifle\u2019s adaptability, will appeal to all bolt\u00adaction enthusiasts \u2013 young or old, novice or experienced. The new line consists of four models \u2013 full\u2010sized (22\u201d barrel\/13.75\u201d length of pull) and compact (18\u201d\/12.5\u201d length of pull) models, both of which are available in either .22 LR or .22 Magnum.<\/p>\n

The Ruger American Rimfire\u2122 is the perfect \u201cfirst bolt\u2010action rifle.\u201d It features an innovative modular stock system that allows the rifle to grow with the shooter. Each model in the line includes two interchangeable stock modules that provide comb height options for scope or iron sight use. Standard models come with long length of pull modules, while compact models come with short length of pull modules. By simply removing the rear sling swivel stud, stock modules can be changed in seconds. Models chambered in .22 LR feature the detachable, flush\u2010mounted 10\/22\u00ae BX\u20101 10\u2010round rotary magazine and accepts all 10\/22\u00ae magazines, including the BX\u201025\u00ae and BX\u201025\u00aex2. Models chambered in .22 Magnum use the detachable, flush\u2010mounted JMX\u20101 9\u2010round rotary magazine. The easy\u2010to\u2010use 10\/22\u00ae\u2010 style extended magazine release provides smooth, no\u2010fuss magazine removal. The 60\u2010degree bolt provides ample scope clearance, while an easy\u2010to\u2010use, receiver\u2010mounted bolt release allows the bolt to be readily removed without requiring a pull of the trigger, a unique safety feature among rimfire, bolt-\u00adaction rifles.<\/p>\n

The Ruger American Rimfire\u2122 shares many of the features that made the centerfire Ruger American Rifle\u00ae popular among hunters and shooters alike. It features a Ruger Marksman Adjustable\u2122 trigger and patent\u2010pending Power Bedding\u00ae integral bedding block system that positively locates the receiver and free\u2010floats the barrel, making these rifles true performers at the range and in the field.<\/p>\n

Additional features include a satin blued, target-\u00adcrowned, hammer\u2010forged barrel that results in ultra\u2010precise rifling for exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning and Williams\u2122 fiber optic front sight and 10\/22\u00ae-\u00adstyle adjustable, \u201cV\u201d slot, folding\u2010leaf rear sight. A 3\/8\u201d rimfire scope base is machined into the receiver, and is drilled and tapped for Weaver\u00ae #12 bases (not included).<\/p>\n

Ruger American Rimfire\u2122 rifles feature a durable composite stock with front and rear swivel studs. All models have a suggested retail price of $329.<\/p>\n
