(April 22, 2013) \u2014 Max Michel, Jr., SIG SAUER\u2019s competitive shooting champion, used his signature pistol to put his name atop the United States Practical Shooting Association\u2019s Area 6 Championship leaderboard.<\/p>\n<p>Using the 1911 MAX model he helped design, Michel dominated the Single-Stack division at the Ancient City Shooting Range in St. Augustine, Fla. With 1178.3447 match points, Michel topped the competition by a mere 0.474 percentage points.<\/p>\n<p>The 1911 MAX is the culmination of a joint effort between SIG SAUER and the champion shooter.
