\"Joyce<\/a>AUSTIN, Texas \u2013 Julianna Crowder, president of A Girl & A Gun Women\u2019s Shooting League<\/a>, announced that Joyce Wilson, executive director of the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA<\/a>), will be a keynote speaker at the inaugural A Girl & A Gun National Conference, Presented by Smith & Wesson.<\/p>\n

As executive director of IDPA Wilson has guided the organization\u2019s transformation into the fastest growing shooting sport in America, managed a member-driven review and update of the IDPA Rule Book and overseen the work on a new, soon to launch IDPA.com website that will provide greater value and support for IDPA clubs, match directors and the organization\u2019s 21,000-plus members.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the only woman heading up a major shooting sports organization, Joyce Wilson has an impressive record of accomplishment and a unique perspective on the important role women play in the firearms community. \"WomensShootingLeague\"<\/a>The 2013 A Girl & A Gun National Conference, Presented by Smith & Wesson, will take place March 22-24 at T.I.G.E.R. Valley, the premiere training facility in Central Texas located in Waco. Bringing together some of the top women in the shooting industry, the conference offers participants training sessions, live-fire instruction and presentations on topics relevant to women participating in the shooting sports today.<\/p>\n

The sold-out conference has received a great deal of support from a growing list of firearms industry sponsors including Comp-Tac Victory Gear, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the Outdoor Wire Digital Network, Taurus and presenting sponsor Smith & Wesson, among others.<\/p>\n

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League is a ladies-only organization established by women shooters for women shooters for the pistol, rifle and shotgun sports.
