SPRINGFIELD, Mass. \u2013 Once again the world\u2019s greatest wheelgun shooter took home the Enhanced Service Revolver title at the International Defensive Pistol Association\u2019s (IDPA<\/a>) 2013 Smith & Wesson<\/a> IDPA Indoor National Championship as Jerry Miculek of Team Smith & Wesson topped the division with a blistering time of 215.47 shooting just 55 points down.<\/p>\n

\"Miculek-SWIN13-1sm\"<\/a>Miculek, who is ranked a Distinguished Master in the ESR division \u2013 IDPA\u2019s highest skill classification \u2013 has won this title every year since 2007.<\/p>\n

\"Miculek-SWIN13-2sm\"<\/a>\u201cWell beyond Jerry\u2019s extraordinary ability with a revolver, or with any firearm for that matter, it\u2019s his wonderful personality, humor and southern charm that has endeared him to so many shooters. It is always a great pleasure to watch Jerry in action on an IDPA range, shooting and of course winning,\u201d said Joyce Wilson, executive director of IDPA.<\/p>\n

Finishing second overall behind Miculek was Brian Gonsalves who finished first Expert with a time of 291.79 and 65 points down. Gregg Kratochvil placed third overall and finished first Master with 298.49 (78). Warren Baker, another ESR Master, finished fourth overall with 335.24 (129) followed by T.J. Milam who took first Sharpshooter with 341.61 (127), Sean Cheney, another ESR Sharpshooter, with 345.68 (137), and Andrew Macgray who took first Marksman with 391.56 (131).<\/p>\n

The 2013 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship took place February 21-23 at the Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center in Springfield, Mass., drawing many of\u00a0the shooting sports’ top pistol shooters from 28 states, one U.S. territory and three foreign nations.<\/p>\n
