Bragg Soldier, <strong>Kristian Sorensen<\/strong>, gets the opportunity to share in this legacy with his own USA Shooting medallion after winning the WIN GOLD 2012 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The WIN GOLD 2012 campaign was an effort driven by the USASTF to engage fans in the USA Shooting Team and to gather interest for the team in their journey to the London 2012 Olympic Games.\u00a0\u00a0 Over 8,000 participants were entered to win the one-of-kind medallion.<\/p>\n<p>Kristian Sorensen, a Major in the U.S. Army Reserve and Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, is very much a shooting enthusiast.\u00a0 He has been training with firearms most of his life and has even participated in a shooting competition during his last deployment to Iraq.\u00a0 He enjoys teaching his wife and three children many of the marksmanship skills he learned in the military.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was really impressed with the USA Shooting Team\u2019s performance in London,\u201d says Kristian, \u201cI\u2019m thrilled that my family now has a medal of our own to commemorate their success!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Featuring five-time Olympic medalist <strong>Kim Rhode<\/strong> (El Monte, Calif.), the 1.4 ounce 24k solid gold coin is an intriguing collector\u2019s item given that Rhode became the first athlete in U.S. Olympic history competing in an individual sport to win medals in five consecutive Olympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>WIN GOLD 2012 was promoted through USA Shooting with the assistance of industry partners including Cabela\u2019s, Brownell\u2019s, GunBroker.com, Shooting Sports Retailer, Krieghoff, Trijicon and Field &amp; Stream.<\/p>\n<p>The USA Shooting Team Foundation is the non-profit fundraising arm of USA Shooting. Established in 2009 as a 501(c)3, the USA Shooting Team Foundation\u2019s sole purpose is to support the comprehensive mission of USA Shooting by providing resources necessary to succeed in the highly competitive world of Olympic shooting.
