\"NSSF<\/a>BERRYVILLE, Ark. \u2013 Continuing its mission to promote and support the shooting sports, the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF<\/a>), the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, has again signed on as a major sponsor of the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship, according to an announcement by officials with the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA<\/a>) and\u00a0Smith & Wesson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Celebrating its 16th year of defensive pistol shooting excellence, the 2013 Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship will take place February 21-23 on the indoor ranges of the\u00a0Smith & Wesson Shooting Sports Center<\/a>\u00a0in Springfield, Massachusetts. As part of their sponsorship, NSSF will be the official sponsor of the awards banquet taking place Saturday evening, February 23.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe National Shooting Sports Foundation has been a tireless advocate for the shooting sports, helping take participation to all-time highs. Smith & Wesson and IDPA are extremely grateful for the generous support NSSF has given to the Indoor Nationals over the years and the important role the organization has played in making this one of the best and most popular events in competitive shooting,\u201d said Joyce Wilson, executive director for IDPA.<\/p>\n

Regarded as one of the finest competitive shooting matches in the country, the Smith & Wesson IDPA Indoor National Championship represents the official start of IDPA\u2019s competition season. More than 300 of the sports\u2019 best shooters are expected to compete for titles in Custom Defensive Pistol, Enhanced Service Pistol, Stock Service Pistol, Stock Service Revolver and Enhanced Service Revolver, the five divisions within IDPA.<\/p>\n
