Open to New Mexico Law Enforcement only, the Challenge introduces unclassified competitors to the shooting sports<\/h1>\n

\"\"Albuquerque, New Mexico<\/em> – NRA Law Enforcement started the New Mexico Challenge a few years ago to welcome new competitors into the world of shooting sports. Held just prior to the National Police Shooting Championships, the Challenge is open only non-classified New Mexico shooters, the hope is that they enjoy the thrill of competition so much that they driven to more. As they like to say, trigger time is training time.<\/p>\n

\"Empty<\/p>\n

What they experience is the standard PPD Stock Semi-Automatic course of fire. Bring your duty handgun, holster, magazines and a little sense of adventure.<\/p>\n

Shooting from 5, 7, 25 and 50 yards from a variety of positions, these law enforcement professionals are also supplied (while supplies last) with free ammo for the event courtesy of Remington Law Enforcement.<\/p>\n

After all scores are final, awards will be handed out in the Municipal, County, State, Federal and Security divisions.<\/p>\n

With almost a hundred participants in this years event, there’s hope that the numbers will continue to swell as the New Mexico Challenge introduces the newbies to the thrill of competition.<\/p>\n
