{"id":16980,"date":"2012-09-10T14:55:47","date_gmt":"2012-09-10T19:55:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.downrange.tv\/blog\/?p=16980"},"modified":"2012-09-10T14:55:47","modified_gmt":"2012-09-10T19:55:47","slug":"fnh-usa-introduces-first-conversion-kit-for-spr-rifle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.downrange.tv\/blog\/fnh-usa-introduces-first-conversion-kit-for-spr-rifle\/16980\/","title":{"rendered":"FNH USA introduces first conversion kit for SPR rifle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-16981\" title=\"932445\" src=\"https:\/\/www.downrange.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/932445-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.downrange.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/932445-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.downrange.tv\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/932445.jpg 440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>(McLean, VA \u2013 September 10, 2012) FNH USA, LLC is proud to announce the availability of its new a Tactical Box Magazine (TBM) Conversion Kit for the FN SPR precision bolt-action rifle.\u00a0 This new kit allows SPR owners to quickly and easily self-install upgrades such as higher capacity magazines and an ambidextrous magazine release button by using simple hand tools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are pleased to offer this new TBM Conversion Kit,\u201d said Ken Pfau, FNH USA Senior Vice President for Law Enforcement and Commercial Sales.\u00a0 \u201cIt was developed specifically for owners of the original SPR, which came with 4-round Detachable Box Magazines (DBMs).\u00a0 The \u2018drop-in\u2019 capability of this kit not only takes the guesswork out of performing the upgrades themselves, but it also gives them an opportunity to economically upgrade their rifles to better meet their current shooting needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The kit contains one magazine bottom metal, one 10-round magazine, one 5-round magazine, new action screws and instructions for installation.\u00a0 A 5\/32\u201d hex bit and inch\/pound torque wrench are required for installation but are not included in the kit.<\/p>\n<p>As part of a grassroots campaign to spread the word about the kit\u2019s launch, four top gunsmiths from around the U.S. specializing in custom long-range precision rifles were sent samples and asked to install and use the kit themselves:\u00a0 American Precision Arms of Jefferson, GA, Crescent Customs of N. Kansas City, MO, Custom Blue, LLC of Newcomerstown, OH and Short Action Customs from Wellington, OH.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShort Action Customs received two FN TBM kits,\u201d said Mark Gordon, President.\u00a0 \u201cWe installed them on full-custom SPR builds and are very impressed.\u00a0 They are strong, functional and ambidextrous kits that expand the capabilities of the original SPR DBM.\u00a0 The magazines are well made, they fit great and offer shooters more features than other magazines on the market.
