This grant cycle we were able to provide grants to 52 different high school or college teams.\u201d says Dick Leeper, Executive Director of The MidwayUSA Foundation, Inc.\u00a0 \u201cThe Foundation is growing rapidly as shown by the award of $53,000 in grants in January and this time we awarded over $120,000.\u201d He continues, \u201cThrough the permanent endowments, these high school and college shooting teams are able to fund their shooting programs every year for as long as the team exists.\u00a0 It\u2019s a positive way to build for their financial future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The MidwayUSA Foundation, Inc. was established to provide five percent of a team\u2019s fund balance for the purpose of buying ammunition, paying range or competition fees, arranging for competition travel and other operating costs.\u00a0 Teams may apply for a grant once per year, either in January or June.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCompetitive shooting teams provide wonderful opportunities for students to make friends, to develop confidence, and learn discipline and leadership skills.
