The new variation of the MFRTM, Modular Float Rail, will be offered in a new 9\u201d length option in conjunction with the popular and currently offered 12\u201d variation. The original MFRTM 12.0 was the defining feature offered on 2011\u2019s second most popular Daniel Defense rifle, the DDM4 V7.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt isn\u2019t hard to understand why the DDM4 V7 was one of 2011\u2019s most popular rifles\u201d, says Jordan Hunter, Marketing Manager for Daniel Defense. The shorter, 9\u201dversion of the MFRTM accentuates the feature characteristics that made the 12\u201d version a success: lighter weight, modularity, continuous uninterrupted top rail, and three adjustable 3\u201d picatinny rail sections at the three, six, and nine o\u2019clock positions. \u201cThose same great features are now being offered in a shorter version that allows for greater flexibility in barrel length choices,\u201d Jordan went on to say.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of the length, 12\u201d or 9\u201d, the MFRTM has an outside diameter of 1.76 inches and an inner diameter of 1.61 inches. The total weight of the MFRTM 9.0 is 13.39 ounces, which lends itself well to Daniel Defense\u2019s tagline of Lighter. Stronger.
