(August 14, 2011) \u2014 SIG SAUER\u00ae Team Captain Max Michel, Jr., added to an already stellar United States Practical Shooting Association portfolio with a win at the Area 3 Championships this weekend.<\/p>\nEXETER, N.H. \u201cThere was a nice mix of stages this year, from very technical to an all-steel speed stage,\u201d Michel said. \u201cWith the Steel Challenge coming up, it was a good skill test having to shift gears from speed to precision when needed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Almost 300 shooters made the trip to Grand Island, Neb., for the match. Michel won the Open Division and Overall title, with a score of 1768.8029 and 11 outright stage wins.<\/p>\n
Next up, Michel seeks his record-setting fourth title at the 2011 Steel Challenge August 17-21 in Piru, Calif.<\/p>\n
