\"STI<\/a>SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. \u2014 The U.S. Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), the national governing body for the sport of practical shooting, announced that STI International<\/a>, a leading manufacturer of firearms for the competition market, will be the title sponsor of the organization’s annual handgun championships.<\/p>\n

The STI USPSA National Handgun Championships will take place September 16-24 at the Desert Sportsman\u2019s Rifle & Pistol Club<\/a> in Las Vegas, Nev. More than 600 of the nation\u2019s top handgun shooters, as well as several from outside the United States, are expected to compete for titles in the USPSA Open, Limited, Limited-10, Production and Revolver divisions.<\/p>\n

\u201cSTI is one of the most recognized names in practical shooting competition and their pistols can be found in the hands of champions around the world. In addition to supporting individual competitors, STI has consistently supported practical shooting competitions here in America as well as abroad and we are pleased to have them as the title sponsor of our 2011 nationals,\u201d said Dave Thomas, executive director of USPSA.<\/p>\n

The STI USPSA National Handgun Championships are the highlight of the practical shooting season in the United States, and in 2011, a preliminary for the International Practical Shooting Confederation’s (IPSC) triennial World Shoot which will take place in Rhodes, Greece this October 3-10.<\/p>\n
