First, this is the Gen 3 version, not the new Gen 4 where Glock has addressed the grip and feel issues many folks have with Glocks. I have fairly large hands so this wasn't a problem for me, although I have added some skateboard tape to the grip for improved traction. This was my first auto pistol, recommended by friends for home and self defense.
They didn't lie. The Glock 19 can do it all....ride concealed on your hip (if your hip is pretty big!), protect your home with a laser or light on the rail, or go to the range and shoot all day. This is also my primary gun for IDPA matches. Improvements in JHP ammo mean this 9mm Glock is an effective defense weapon. The 19's capacity and legendary reliability make it the gun to have if you're going to have just one.
