Pros:
Well made with great options found on more expensive weapons.
Cons:
Somewhat unreliable so far with certain Hollow point loads.
I have put about 100 or so rounds through this weapon and find that for me it shoots a tad low and right. Could be me, could be the sight adjustment. I will work on that. The weapon is reliable with Lawman 230gr FMJ loads but seems to encounter first round chambering problems with 200gr CorBon hollow points and "Quick Shock" hollow points, with intermittent first round chambering difficulty using Federal Hydra Shock hollow points. I tried Meggar and Chip McCormick "Shooting Star" magazines with the same result. Upon insertion of a full 8rd magazine and racking or releasing the slide, the first round seems to tip downward a tad and "ram" itself into the feed ramp. (This also has the unsettling tendancy to push the projectile deeper into the case). This in part, I feel, is due to the shallow angle of the feed ramp and low magazine presentation inherent in the 1911 style pistols and is exacerbated by spring pressure of the full magazine in conjunction with the conical shape and flat nose of the rounds tested. Consequently, reliable feeding was realized with a more conventional rounded nosed large hollow point 230gr "flying ashtray" type round, which is by the way a remanfactured product.
