Pros: Good looking, feels good- something like a 1911; price is decent
Cons: The new trigger is terrible. Heavy pull makes it difficult to shoot accurately. The pistol feels different with the retrofit, and is NOT the pistol you bought if you bought pre-recall. Ruger should buy them back.

I am personally incredibly dissolusioned with Ruger, which on this product I think has pawned off a cobbled up mess on their customers. I sincerely believe they should buy this pistol back because it was almost what you would consider a "Bait and Switch". AND- I had to wait 4 months with the gun in my safe to get my new crappy trigger.
Just a bad purchase that has knocked Ruger off my list for good.

Pros: slim design, ambidextrous use 18 shot capacity, smooth trigger
Cons: none

After getting my sidearm on Friday I only put a box of 50 jhp's through it and it was great! I will keep this as a duty weapon hands down. I much prefer the grip angle of the SR9 over a Glock any day. I'm not telling anyone to ditch their current weapons but at least get on down to a gun store and fire a box through one of these and THEN tell how it was.

Pros: Great feel, low recoil, great price, nice "extras"
Cons: heavy trigger.....

The SR9 is the first 9mm pistol I’ve owned since 1988 and I am very pleased with it. The gun feels great in my hand, has never given me an ounce of trouble, feeds everything, and is more accurate than I am.

Overall I’m happy with it and consider it a great deal for the money.

Now, if they can smooth out the trigger I'll give it a "10"!

Pros: Slim, 18 rounds, variable backstrap, price
Cons:

My original trigger wasn't *too* bad, but it could definitely could have been better. Before I could further break the trigger in, I got the recall. So I sent it in, and the trigger that I got in return was better than the original one. I've heard that the new trigger also gets a bit better over time so I'm looking forward to that.

Pros: Prise, Design, Price, Capacity, Looks, Price, Features
Cons: Few accessories, accessory rail is short, magazine tough on fingers

This was my first Ruger and I'm really impressed with the gun's ergonomics and features, esp. at its price point. The way the grip is molded is perfect for my hand and the interchangeable backstrap is a nice feature, one which I've actually used as shooting went on. Easy to take apart. Stainless version is a pretty gun. Sights are *excellent* features are good (I like manual safeties), and accuracy has been better than I am.

Very, very happy for the price. I'd have given it a 10 if the accessory rail was 1/4" longer (which could have been done).

Magazines are a bit tough to reload. Ruger gives you a loading tool, but if you forget it the magazine can be tough on fingers. If that means fewer misfeeds, fine, but I'm ordering an UpLula from MagLula and that will be the end of that gripe.

For $450 (and in many places less) you're getting a heck of a good gun. It's tough to beat this package now for value, buy a new one or a post-recall gun and pat yourself on the back.

Pros: accuracy, reliability, durability, price
Cons: ergonomics, engineering

It's accurate and reliable at a good price. I like the manual safety. Looks like it should be very durable.

Nice and slim but still feels clunky anyway. Back of the slide is too sharp. Chamber loaded indicator is too big. Field strip is OK, but hard to push out takedown pin w gloves on. Detail strip should be easier/more modular for a 21st century pistol. Too many roll pins. Mag safety design asking for trouble: can damage gun if fired w mag removed.

I think "civilians" will buy a lot, mil/pol agencies very few.
