This is a dependable sub-compact in 9mm or 40S&W. It's very thin and lightweight, yet it's still a great shooter. The recoil was much less than expected for such a lightweight pistol. I find it to be very accurate out to at least 10 Yds. Good three dot sight profile for both point shooting and sighted shooting. Comes with adjustable backstraps. It's easy to break down and clean. I bought mine in 9mm, not to get into any caliber wars, I just personally prefer the 9mm to the 40 S&W. I believe that the 9mm is more than adequate with today's modern defensive loads. I carry my PPS in my front pocket in a Done Hume pocket holster. It's very comfortable sitting, standing or squatting. I bought 2 of the 8 round magazines that I carry in a double mag pouch in my back pocket in warm weather or on my belt when it's cool enough for a cover garment. The PPS is imported by Smith & Wesson but it's German manufactured. I have never had a jam and I shoot this gun at least once a week. Although I may have to reduce my range and outdoor shooting time, if I don;t find some quality 9mm ammo at the next qun show I'm attending in a few weeks. All around a great, reliable sub-compact 9mm. Some might consider it a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It's certainly a lot less that a Rohrbaugh.

Lady Bic came home with one of these in .40S&W about 4 weeks ago, primarily because of some worrying incident around her workplace.
All our (3) Glocks are in 40cal. so it made sense to keep with the same caliber.
I eventually got to shoot it and....it's GREAT!, Lady B's a lefty and everything works fine for her. It only came with one magazine and spares are almost $50 apiece so be warned on that. Lefty holsters are proving to be a problem too.
Overall though - and being right handed - I WANT ONE!

This pistol does exactly what it was designed to do. I carry in an ankle holster mostly, and forget it's there. With +P ammo, it's a very capable self defense gun. It has been flawless, as long as I remember to push the first round against the back of the magazine before inserting into the pistol. If the round works out a bit before insertion, it can cause a failure. This hasn't happened since I first bought it.
