Pros: Still A Walther.
Cons: Heavier than Interarms

Been a James Bond Fan, had to have one. Bought the PPK/S in .380. Rear sight installed off center but corrected easily. Shoots like a champ, close range accuracy to 7 yds. is consistant, target acquisition is easy, trigger is crisp.

Heavier loaded than I expected, a really good IWB holster or concealed rig needs to factor in if warm weather is around. De-cocker was stiff until 150 rds. and lube and cleaning.

S&W has influence but its still a Walther.
A little overpriced but built to last.

Pros: Great for concealed carry
Cons: Small grip if you have big hands

My wife and I stumbled across an Interarms model of the Walther PPK at a Vermont Gun Show. It looked lightly used and very clean. We left the table and came back to it several times before striking a deal with the vendor for $400. We were excited.

At our local outdoor range we use it frequently. While it is a small grip the magazine does have a nicely curved extender which helps fill it out in your hand.

While this is not very accurate at longer ranges it does group nicely at 10 to 15 feet with both FMJ and HP loads. To date we've not had any stovepipes or misfeeds though we've only gone through 500 or so rounds.

Disassembly and cleaning has proven to be pretty easy, which is always a good thing. Here's a link to a youtube vid that shows field stripping and reassembly.

We truly enjoy this well engineered .380 and it has become one of our favorite concealed carry choices.

Pros: Quality parts, easy to clean, easy to carry
Cons: sharp edges, recoil leaves bite mark by your thumb if shot too much

I bought mine new from my local gun dealer and after several trips to the range I had to have it sent back to S&W. The PPK/S .380 would not shoot more than 3 or 4 rounds before jamming, I reduced the length of the magazine spring to ease up the tension a bit which did help but still it would jam on occasion. After getting it back from S&W I found they polished the ramp and made a few other adjustments, works like a champ now.

Pros: Reliable and easy to conceal.
Cons: This gun can be a little rough on the hand.

I have the S&W version of the PPKS. I held out for the S&W model due to the extended beaver tail. It's a great little carry gun and it's very accurate out to about 7yds. I carry mine in my front pocket in a Don Hume pocket holster. I find that it's very comfortable, both sitting and standing. It's so comfortable for all day wear that I could forget that it's there. I always shoot high quality manufacturers ammo and I've never had a jam with this gun. On the downside this gun can be a little rough on your strong hand. It turned out that the extended beaver tail has some sharp edges. It's not a problem until about 50 rounds. I still consider this a good carrier. I only carry 2 extra mags and would not experience any hand troubles if the gun was needed. Many might call this a mouse gun but I'm always loaded with either Hornady Critical Defense, Federal Hydra Shoks or RBCD, all of which will get the job done. I did upgrade to the 9mm PPS about a year ago and now use the PPS for carry on most days. It's lighter, just as reliable, more powerful and also fits in my front pocket in a Don Hume.

Pros: Good pointer, easy to conceal
Cons: All steel making it a little heavy for its size

First trip to the range all it did was jam, changed ammo and never missed a beat after that. It is simple to field strip without any little parts to fly away during takedown. Accuracy was great for a pocket pistol and it is very comfortable to shoot, I liked it so well that when some West-German police surplus PPs came on the market I got one of them and am just as pleased with it.

Pros: Classic lines, solid
Cons: Recalled

My first PPK/s was the Interarms version, and I bought it used, but it looked like it had never been shot. It is blued, by the way. Shooting it was very disappointing. It wouldn't make it through a magazine without jamming. I then switched to CCI Mini-Mag and starting shooting. I figured I'd shoot until it jammed. Well, after 400 rounds - no jams and I was out of ammo and in love with the gun.

Later, after a long wait, I got a stainless steel S&W version of the PPK/s. It is made like a typical S&W, but then there was the recall. After several e-mails from S&W, I sent them the gun, but had to wait for 3 months to get it back.

Considering the short sight radius, I rather surprised at the accuracy.

I guess I'm a bit of a Walther fan because I have a lot of them, including GSP Expert and SSP. I also have a P22 (what were they thinking).
