I have only fired 100 rounds and I have had some jamming as with my K-T it could also be the ammo brand,another 100 and all will be smooth. I did have to look hard to locate this LCP one store had 20 back orders I made that one last phone call and wow they had one left and would bring it to the local gun show

After putting 300 rounds through this gun, I have noticed that is prone to jamming from time to time - Maybe once every 15-20 rounds or so. I have also had problems with the magazine not wanting to seat each time. It also chucks spent shells farther then you would believe. I would also love to see a gun this size in a 9mm or larger caliber.

My wife carries it in her purse or with an IWB holster, it virtually disappears. It will also work nicely in a back or even front pocket of a pair of jeans.
Good luck finding all of your brass, I had a hard time locating the brass until I realized how far it was sending the casings. I measured one casing about 45 feet away, and they will land in an arc about 35 degree from perpendicular to the gun, this equals a lot of square feet.
Ruger dropped the ball on extra mags, it only comes with one, and we have been waiting months for extra mags. We have put about 300 rounds through it, 6 at a time, and reloading 1 mag each time is annoying. ( extra mags will cost about $27)
It seems like the sights (when you try using them) need some work. They are dead on when you take the time to use them, but they need more contrast between the front and rear post for quicker sight picture. We are going to try some paint to increase the contrast, but ruger could easily have added something more perm. in production.

This handgun was designed for in your face defense. It is perfect for that.I have been carring mine for a week now and I love it. I would like to see one in .40s&w. I am going to by another one and carry both of them together. I have fired 50 rounds of american eagle ammo through it as soon as I got home from the gun shop,I didn't even clean it before firing. No problems at all. No jamming , nothing . Thank you RUGER for another quality product.

It shoots reliability; it always goes bang.
After about 120 rounds was hand was rather sore.
Some mags do not load the last rounds without some effort and a pop as the follower seats properly.
No sights to speak of, yet it is center of mass accurate out to 15+ feet.
The brass is ejected great distances.

Fired many different rounds on the first trip to the range. Fired Cor Bon Pow'r Ball, Cor Bon hollow points, Remington Express Hollow points and Winchester Ball. Fired without any flaws. Projectiles went where I was aiming. Had snappy recoil but the gun is not meant to be fired all day. Looking forward to acquiring some Hornady ammo and see how it performs. The most accurate rounds I fired that day were the Cor Bon Pow'r Ball.

Took it out of the box and shot a few boxes of PMI and Gold Dot with not a single jam and its quite accurate to 10-15 yards. Can't go wrong with this one, its so small it will fit in your pocket with room to spare. With the LCP you can always have personal protection with you, no excuses. Get the laser that mounts to the trigger for night protection.

I've put 200+ rounds thru it so far without any issues, both ball and HP's feed fine. It's pretty accurate if you sight it in, which is hard to do with the flat front sight, and does well a short range without the sights. I did install Nitesiters dots but haven't shot since I put them on.
The gun is surprisingly comfortable to hold/shoot for such a small piece. The finger grip mag extension is a must have though.
Hard to find a better CC gun. I'm sure if they make a 9mm or .40 version it will be somewhat bigger like the KelTec P9 but I'd buy one.

For a small carry gun I had bought a Walther PPK/s .380 and it jammed so badly I sent it back and bought the Ruger LCP. Right out of the box with a mix of ammo not a single jam and its quite accurate having no raised sights. I put about 300 rounds through it and not a single issue other than its small in my hand. This is a carry gun and not for target shooting which is what it was and is intended for.

I fired 50 rounds (Fiocchi Top Target, 100 grs bullet), at 25 meters (minimum distance available in the range), no jam (even in fast shooting), good accuracy (related to the type of gun), accetable recoil. Perfect gun for concealed carry, everywhere and everytime. in Italy is not as cheap as in the US. Maybe a stainless version could be better.

Excellent for last ditch, in your face protection. I carry mine in my cargo pocket in a DeSantis Nemesis M52 holster, which has room for a spare mag. I hardly know it's there.

Great little gun. Change out the recoil spring to Wolff 13# helps with recoil and makes the brass not fly as far, plus helps getting back in line for 2nd shot. A good polish on the feed ramp takes away most ammo feeding and jam problems. Adding a Crimson Trace eliminates the bad sights. I take mine eveywhere either IWB or in a pocket holster.
