Ruger LCR question
« on: February 03, 2012, 08:56:51 PM »
Sure do like the LCR.  My only concern is the barrel attachment. Is it pressed in?  The diagram on the website manual of the gun doesn't show any threads.  Any chance it would loosen up over time?

The barrel on the LCR is threaded into the barrel sleeve and then adjusted for cylinder gap specification during assembly.  The exploded view shows a larger diameter on the muzzle end of the barrel indicating the threaded portion.  It just doesn't show the thread detail.

Thanks for the clarification, Timothy.  I am a Ruger fan and was pretty sure they didn't release anything without all potential issues being addressed.  I see an LCR in the near future.

Regards, Gordon

I just bought one in .38 spcl last Monday.  Look for my range report on the board in the next few weeks.
