I was only six when the original Death Wish came out, but IIRC we saw it at the local drive-in theater.

But heck, they're redoing movies now that were out in my adult years....like Point Break.

Johnny English Strikes Again has been online for a few days and it won't even be in theaters until the Friday before Halloween. That's 5 1/2 weeks later. That's crazy. I'm glad I don't make my living on movie sales. It was so blurry I couldn't see much at first but skipped back and forth until I saw the title. I think I can wait until October to see it.

I've never been much for science fiction. With that said I liked the original "Predator", and watched it until after the now famous jungle shootout scene.

I remember my thoughts after watching "Predator" and I suspect that if this were really happening...an alien came to earth periodically to hunt humans...that someone could sell it as an adventure.  Provide transportation, equipment, training and any other support for individuals or small teams who wished to go up against the best. 

There is a segment of Humans who would respond to this as a challenge...an opportunity to prove one self...rather than a murderous invader.

Venom is starting tomorrow. It would be a nice change of pace to see an anti-hero as the main character, but I seriously doubt I'll go see it. If I do go I'll spend the extra 3 bucks to see it in 3D. I could check to see if there's a 3D weekday matinee next week. To me that's the only way movies are worth paying to see.
