Whole lotta incompetence going on. It should've never got to the cop (and yes, after it did HE should've caught it before destroyin' a booger picker).
How in blue blazes did a loaded weapon end up in a display case in a gun store to begin with?
Somebody would be absent a job if it were my store.

Everybody is stupid some of the time, but some people are stupid all of the time. The latter group shouldn't be allowed near deadly weapons.

My ex-wife's second cousin was in that group. He was a gun owner who should have known how to be safe around firearms. One day I was was unlocking my gun safe to show him one of my guns when he grabbed my bedside pistol which didn't have a round in the chamber, racked the slide, and said, "Is this thing loaded?" To which I replied, "It is now." I got my gun away from him and him away from me as fast as I could. I didn't turn my back on him again and he's never been back.

The stupid cousin I mentioned above was named Skip. He may have skipped school but I bet he never skipped a grade, if you know what I mean. Short buses are too short to get all the people like him on.
