Nah, he'll just put his eye out!!

Odd, though, I don't see a power rating for the laser anywhere. I thought they had to post that.

I did notice that you can pre-order more than 1 - - at 5 grand a pop!!!

We have a laser etcher/cutter at the local maker space, but its wattage is too low to really use it. Won't leave a mark on bare or anodized aluminum (think magazines), barely left a mark on hard plastic (think Magpul magazines), so I can't really use it to mark up my mags or cut a decoration on a receiver, which I wanted to do. It did etch my acrylic test piece, though . . .  ::)

I got a good laugh out of a exercise equipment web site.   My wife and I have worn out our 20yo rowing machine and parts aren't available.   So I ordered a new one, a Concept2.  They have a price break for 5 or more.

Oh, got to check out what may be available locally at either county or college level in terms of maker space.   That'd be a lot cheaper and let me learn the ins/outs of etching things.

Brain dead stupid easy to use - which is how I manage.

1. Import a picture
2. scale it
3. generate g-code
4. send gcode to the laser
5. DON'T STARE AT THE LASER

Look up T2Laser.org - that's the software the maker space uses on a homemade laser etcher.
