Trimmings from chuck, round, strip, etc. most likely.  Kroger doesn't buy true babacoa meats.

It was in a factory sealed 16 ounce package. There's no telling what it was or who supplied it. It could be chuck, or mixed leftover pieces. Like the old Wendy's commercial said, parts is parts. It was something with the fat cooked out of it. I didn't see any fat in the meat, and the juice didn't have much fat when it was still cold. It doesn't matter what it was because it was tender and tasty, and someone else did all the work for me. I don't care if it wasn't cooked  in a hole in the ground covered with maguey leaves in true barbacoa fashion either.

Babacoa?

Babacoa?

I didn't even notice that. Sometimes my mind fills in the blanks automatically. If I didn't have everything spell checked as I typed, I'd mess up way more than I already do. And I'm not going to refer to Mike as Babs from now on. It wouldn't be nice.  ;D

I had 2 Whoppers today and nothing else so far. They weren't great, but they were filling. I used a buy one, get one free coupon. I threw away 2 more of the same coupon that expired last month, and have another one left that's good until next month. I won't go to Burger King without a coupon.

I have a slice of Twix pie in the fridge for later. The picture looked good on the menu that I had 5 minutes to look at while waiting for my order to be taken. I walked in and went right up to the cash register where I was ignored while they filled other people's orders. One person usually stops filling orders long enough to take a new order, but not today.

Pulled pork shoulder with butter-peas and mac & cheese.

Got some fresh blueberries today, so either a cobbler or a blueberry pound-cake is in the near future.  :D

Diced pears. I haven't had whole pears in a long time, but these canned pears are good too.

I have a bowl of chocolate chip instant oatmeal in front of me that's a little too hot to eat. I never had it before but it smells okay. I haven't been grocery shopping a week or two. I had 5 boxes of instant oatmeal in the cupboard so I didn't need milk for my cereal, but I need to buy some other things soon.

A good ol' 1/2 pound Angus burger.
