I had shrimp today too, shrimp scampi for lunch. It was about half shrimp and half butter but tasted good. The last thing I ate was 2 egg rolls. I was only going to have one but the microwave directions on the package were way off. After gnawing on a tough dried out one I heated another one for 25% less time and it was much better. I hope I remember that when I eat the other 2.

So far today I've had some Cuban Style Focaccia Pizza. Stone-baked focaccia bread topped with creme fraiche mustard sauce, bacon, mozzarella, diced pickles, and Emmentaler cheese. It needs ham. I have more pizza in the fridge and I'm starting to get hungry again so it's on the menu.

I just had a bowl of Japanese style udon soup. The noodles were already cooked so all I had to do was empty them and 2 little packets into the bowl, add water, and microwave it. I don't normally eat anything vegan, but this way I knew there weren't any dehydrated fish flakes in it. Those totally ruin a bowl of soup IMO.

Miso soup. Basically the same as the udon soup I had, but with the addition of red miso and white miso.

Miso is soybean paste fermented with a special kind of Aspergillus mold that's been used in food for at least 2,000 years. Miso may be fermented for less than a week, or for several years, the flavor changing with age. I had a coupon to get $1.25 off 2 bowls of these soups and these were the only 2 kinds in the store, which worked out okay. They're both very mild and IMO either one would be better with a bit of red chili powder.

Am I the only one eating something every day?

I took me 4 hours but I finally had time to eat breakfast in the middle of the afternoon. I had 2 100% ribeye steak and onion sandwiches with cheese, one without peppers followed by one with peppers. I had a buy 2 8" subs, get 1 free coupon. The 3rd one will be lunch or a late-night snack. Gone by dawn.

They're from a local place called Big John Steak & Onion. They started with one location in Flint back in 1972. Now they have 6 in Flint and 10 more nearby. They have this sauce that's just called red sauce, that I always get on the side in little cups. One is enough for an 8" sub, two is too many. I'm guessing it has tomatoes in it because it's red, and it definitely has some kind of pepper in it, probably black pepper. Maybe some kind of chili pepper too. Whatever it is, I can't eat my steak and onion subs without it. People love it so much they buy it by the bottle.
