Gun Podcasts

Trying to find some gun podcasts to listen to at work.  MB and Guntalk don't even get me halfway through 1 shift every week.  I've been trying some here and there, but most of them really suck.

Tried listening to a new one today.  The "expert" on the show recommended a CZ75 and Smith double action revolver (among others) for a handgun.  Fine choices, but he then went on to say that he won't recommend Glock because he "only recommends guns that were designed in this century."  Wait...what?  He may have even recommended a 1911, not sure.

If you have any that you really like and would recommend, please share.  Thanks.

Nothing at all wrong with Glock. In fact, just about everything is right with it.

Not really a gun podcast but I listen in to SOFREP from time to time.  Brute force...if it doesn't work your just not using enough......  It's some spec ops guys and the commentary and perspective on world events is unique.  A few spots back they had a podcast with Rob O'Neill.  Here is the main page:  https://sofrep.com/radio/

This is the other one I listen to for daily financial information.  I'm actually a paid member and his stock advice has made $$$'s for me (don't expect his list without membership).  His insight into current events is spot on for me:  https://www.financialissues.org/

The main thing to keep in perspective with all of these "podcasts" and gun programs, is you are getting one mans opinion. I'm not saying it isn't valuable. Some of these guys have a lot of experience, and shoot a lot of guns. Many of them make their living doing it. But just remember it's their opinion. They are still injecting personal preference into what they say, and or recommend.

And you also don't know what, if any financial ties they have to their recommendations. When these guys get a big viewership, gun manufacturers like to use them to showcase their products. And rightfully so. It's very cheap and effective advertising. Did you ever read about a car in Motor Trend they didn't like? And so a lot of this becomes Ford, Chevy, Dodge car magazine stuff. So take it all with a grain of salt. Be informed, but buy what you like, and don't be swayed by someone else's opinion..... Unless you want to be.

Also, a lot of these guys just like to hear themselves talk. "Nut N' Fancy" comes to mind. I like the guy, and he is quite knowledgeable. But my God, this guy could make a 45 minute video on a couple of sling swivels. Actually, I like guys who just shoot the guns without injecting their opinions into it either way. Hickok .45 and Big Daddy Hoffman 1911 come to mind. They put a lot downrange with their weapons, and if issues arise, you'll see them just as if you were at the range with them when they happened. To me that is far more valuable than listening to some guy babble on for 25 minutes with a gun sitting on the table in front of him. While he tells you what he thinks of it.

It's excruciating for me to listen to most "pod casts".   I have an extreme amount of ADD, though I mostly have it under control without meds.  (Where's my corkscrew?)  My mind wanders and I just want to get to the raw data or opinion without a lot of wasted time in between.   Don't get me started on how shows like Dateline drive me up the wall.   I managed to get through the show on Earhart the other night, only because it was "us" time with Miss Kitty.

I guess he doesn't realize that revolvers are bordering on being 500 years old.  The current S&W design hasn't changed a whole lot in 100 years.

You and I differ 180 on this, but let's not hijack this thread for that.

Check Cam and Company and the Jocko podcast.

Cam and Company is by Cam Edwards who is very witty. This is basically the NRA podcast

The Jocko podcast is run by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink and it covers leadership, history, war stories and jujitsu. This podcast is very deep, very professional.

If you're into reloading they also have the Reloading Podcast.

Thanks for the recommendations so far.  I will check some of them out.  I'd be interested in non-gun podcasts as well.

Really big fan of Mike Rowe's podcast, but it's only about 10 minutes long once a week (for the curious mind with a short attention span).  He has taken up where Paul Harvey left off.  Check it out if you feel so inclined.

Team Never Quit!  Marcus Latrell & company's podcast. Interviews and never quit stories with some pretty cool people (and a few that are not) but all of them are good.

I've been a Rush Limbaugh 24/7 member for years (MIL buys it for my birthday every year). Wallbuilders is a good constitution and Biblical influence on the US of A (my third favorite to Rush & Michael). Lead From the Front, SOFREP (a little off to me at times but some cool interviews), Reloading podcast, you can also get Sun Zhu, the Federalist Papers and other historical documents as podcasts.

I listen to a couple of powerlifting podcasts too but I doubt those would be of interest.

Video's, not podcasts, but you could listen and get a lot from them, Forgotten Weapons puts up a 15 -30 minute video every day, and CandRsenal put up a 30-90 minute video every 2 weeks.
