Exactly word for word what I was thinking.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

Last I was in Batteries Plus, I think they would duplicate those fancy keys.  Not the key fob but the key itself.

They most likely would or could if you have a master to duplicate off of. But if you were to lose both, I'm not even sure the dealer could do anything. You have to have the lock re keyed. I've never even tried my "emergency key" that comes with both Fob's.

If they would just make car keys with walnut grips and gold inlay, no one would lose them.  ;D

One good thing about my old 2003 Chevy....cheap spare keys and and I can get a new door lock fob from any auto parts store or ebay and code it myself.
My mother has a newer car with the key integrated into the fob...opens like a switchblade..... I expect they ain't cheap to replace.

The few things I've lost over my 60 years was not mechanical in nature...

My virginity, my dignity, sometimes my self respect and respect for government...

I'm better now!
