An obscure handgun that I want..

Just not enough to spend the money to buy one..
I want a H&K P7, with that lemon squeezer setup.

Can't say that I would carry it for defense but I held one one time, and the configuration forced me to steady the grip/sight picture in a way that I never considered it might. I think it might make for a good target toy, had I the disposable income to afford myself that sort of luxury these days..
As it is, it will have to stay in the wish book for perusal during those extended visits to the outhouse.
With friends like these, who needs hallucinations!..

I wanted one since I first saw them but never got one. The price keeps going up and up and I don't want it so bad anymore.

Back in the 80's Soldier of Fortune magazine did an evaluation of it that ended with the editor throwing it at the backstop and calling it a worthless piece of shit in print.
I forget what the specific defects were but one was that it would not fire more than 2 shots with out jamming.

Those I've shot were reliable BUT difficult to get used to - that squeeze thing is a bit weird...I decided against buying one.
Best Wishes, Mike.

Even if it were the best gun ever made I wouldn't buy one, just because it's an H&K.
I have a suggestion where they can stick their RFID chips, and it isn't in the grips of pistols.
