Speaking of Safe Training - Another officer ND
« on: May 29, 2015, 07:59:55 PM »
In Newton County, east of Atlanta, a deputy was shot while on the training range.  Stories aren't completely settle as to what happened.  Best guess from the different news sources is he was shot by another deputy and was hit in the leg or knee.

ACTUALLY, according to the AJC, it was another deputy's gun that shot him.  Hmmm.  Wonder who was holding that gun when it just up and fired?

From the AJC this evening:

Quote
A Newton County sheriff’s deputy was shot accidentally Friday afternoon by another deputy’s gun, police said.

The deputy, whose name was not released, was taken to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to Capt. Keith Crumb with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office.

And yet again the basic rules.  Somebody violated them.   And since the gun can't read, I'm betting it wasn't at fault.

simple solution, have a nd, lose your job and the ability to own fire arms.

Guns should be cash and carry, no bg checks, only a big rubber stamp saying idiot on your forehead if you can't buy one.

TAB just prohibited about 80% of the population, other wise why do we need LAWS to tell the dumb asses not to watch porn, surf the net, or read their E Mail while driving.

well it is better then the current system.  of which putting a penny on the rail road track makes you a felon.

I have fired ~1 mill rounds, the only time I had a gun go bang when I didn't want it too was a broken firing pin on a 22, that went full auto.   that is not a ND,   ND are you pulling the trigger.

Have a car accident and you lose your job and the ability to own vehicles?

No, I think you get punished, like everything else, based on the damage done, whether car, gun, boat, plane, hammer or spear.

What would help the problem is if we outlawed  the type of warnings like: "Do not use this hair dryer while sitting in the bathtub."

Ditto.   Plus remove all the warnings from Ruger barrels, too.

every job I have had with a company truck, you get a ticket or an at fualt wreck, you will be fired.    So I am totally ok with that, then again I have been hit 17 times,  all 100% not my fualt,  all but 2  were stoped at redlights for greater the 30 seconds.  One was a drunk driver that crushed several vertebra, require 3 surgeries and lots of metal.  A year of pt, and 6 months in a wheel chair.  So I am 100% ok with that.  I see a nd like a dui, you did something 100% avoidable, and put others lives in danger.  I am ok with you not being able to drive.
