I thought things went well. There were about 20 people testifying yesterday. As far as I know, only 1 spoke in opposition. We did have 2 County Sheriffs that were there to speak in favor of the law. I don't know if those of us there made a difference. As of now there has been no vote.

What I am worried about is that these people had their minds made up before we ever even got there, and we went through the dog and pony show just so that they could say that they listened. What I believe is going to happen is that they will sit on this bill until it's too late to do anything about it. That way they won't have to go on record as opposing it, but yet it basically gets killed by delay.

I hope I'm wrong, but I've seen these games played.

The Education Committee that I went to yesterday was 4 (R) and 1 (D). The full Senate consists of 26 (R) and 4 (D). I am confident that if the bill makes it out of committee that it will pass, and Governor Mead has indicated that he would sign it.

You read my mind. It was kinda funny there was a gay marriage bill being debated in the house friday and one of the reps was thrown out for saying that it would be a cold day in hell before it was ever implemented. Our legislature has been quite entertaining this session.

So the education committee decided to rewrite the bill, turning it from a pro gun bill, to a gun control bill. And then promptly passed it. I doubt it will survive the full senate, but people here are hopping mad at Hank Coe.

Get a Private investigator to look into his finances, drinking, and pictures of him with under age hookers.
Remember, photoshop can be your friend if needed.

The effectiveness of that tactic will depend upon his voter "base". 

If it has a large enough liberal/Democratic count to get  him elected, he has no problem.  They tend not to care about hypocrisy, womanizing, or other vices.  As long as belongs to the "progressive" team, they will support him.
