Planes flying in conflict areas get shot down, big deal.
Although it HAS been a crappy year for Malaysian Airlines, first one disappears , now this.
Now that the Russians have actually admitted they did it I wonder if it will become as big an issue as when the USS Vincennes shot down that Iranian airliner.
Only bad thing about that one was that I heard they had empty seats.

I am hearing that this is why BHO declared sanctions on Kalashnikov. Though I doubt it had much to do with punishing Russia and more to do with cutting off the supply of legal firearms to the U.S.

I'm sure Glorious Leader will "look into it".
If needed, he may even frown in public.

Surely, that will show the world how serious he takes this!
No one wants to see Glorious Leader frown!

Did you hear his 38 second "response"? Where he said that this MAY be a great tragedy, and that our first priority will be to find out if Americans were on board.

This AFTER we already knew that the plane had been shot down by a SAM and that there were 23 Americans on board.

This is true. How stupid were they to not only over fly a war zone, but a war zone where thugs have been known to be armed with sophisticated ground to air missiles? The FAA told all American airlines to stay out of the area, and fly AROUND it. They tried to save time and fuel. It didn't work out so well for them. Malaysia Airlines are not run by the sharpest knives in the drawer.

I saw something on the news that by not going around, like all US and European airlines, they saved $1500.
About the cost of one ticket.

The biggest impact here I think is the indifference Obama treated this tragic loss with.  They should not have been flying there, OK, but the passengers had no say in it and the way Obama said it "may" have been a tragedy says it all about his feelings for the peasants of the world like us.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom.
It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

I believe the Peasant is the one in the WH, we know he is way over his head in that job. Incompetence and power are a very dangerous mix and he has too much of both.

So the Russians supplied the missile and we want to wag a finger in their faces while the weapons BO gave the Syrians for their Civil War are now in Iraq being used against the government we set up.
